As more and more of our data spreads across the internet, concerns about privacy and data ownership grow. Many of us have had an account we used with the knowledge we had at the time, and years later we find that account still holds things that are no longer appropriate for us. Sometimes we simply no longer want an account with a service and wish to have all of that account’s information completely removed.

Many internet services do not offer the option to delete your account. We believe this violates user privacy. Given the right to be forgotten, this is a contradiction.

At the Right to be Forgotten service we work to uphold users’ rights on Persian-language services, apps, and platforms so that you can remove your account whenever you wish. We develop tools and produce related content to advocate for this right.

An important goal of the Right to be Forgotten service is to let you know, before signing up for a website, service, or app, whether that service allows you to delete your account. That way you can decide as a user whether to use the service or not.
